For the first time since our research began, a long-term rise in inflation is the primary financial worry among HNWIs and geopolitical instability has risen to second place.
We noticed a “palpable sense of anxiety” among clients this year and our focus groups suggested HNWIs were still uncertain about what the macroeconomic situation means for them, as our research was conducted against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, inflation, skyrocketing energy prices and political turmoil.
